Thank you for visiting the Sussex Avenue School website! Sussex Avenue School was built in 1954 and served as the districts first middle school.  Currently, we are home to 313 students in grades 3-5. In addition to the core subjects of reading, writing, math, and social studies which are taught daily by our classroom teachers, our students are immersed in art, music, science, physical education, and media studies.  These areas are taught by special area teachers whom are experts in their respective fields.  

Our talented staff are dedicated to providing an environment that is inclusive and celebrates diversity while providing a high quality academic experience. Through collaboration and partnership with the community, students will become responsible, resilient lifelong learners.
