Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome all the returning and new families to another great year at Sussex Avenue School!  While I am sure we can all agree that the summer months are relaxing and enjoyable, there is nothing quite like the routines of a new school year!

Sussex Avenue School has approximately 337 students in Grades 3-5.  It is our expectation that each year will be filled with student engagement, collaboration, social connections, and meaningful academic challenges in our classrooms.  At Sussex Avenue, we are dedicated to providing an environment that is inclusive and celebrates diversity while providing a high-quality academic experience.  Through collaboration and partnership with the community, students will become responsible, resilient lifelong learners.  Our teachers and staff are caring professionals dedicated to providing a nurturing environment that will inspire a passion for lifelong learning.

I believe as Nelson Mandela said: "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." My charge here at Sussex Avenue School is to set our students up for future success.
